“By joining Negative Emissions Platform  we want to impress upon policymakers and the public the urgent need for the implementation of a wide range of carbon removal technologies, if we are to meet the challenge of climate change”, said Brian Reynolds, Standard Gas’ Director and Founding Shareholder.

“Negative Emissions Platform members understand the importance of research, investment and the positive impacts policy can and must have in promoting carbon removal technologies. This is the message Negative Emissions Platform is delivering and Standard Gas wants to help build this momentum for change,” he added.

“We want to impress upon policymakers and the public the urgent need for the implementation of a wide range of carbon removal technologies.”

While, most non-recyclable plastics and other wastes are burnt or buried, adding to environmental issues and atmospheric CO2, Standard Gas provides a low-cost, sustainable alternative to landfill and incineration, harnessing the energy and rich resources society currently discards, while removing carbon to help protect the planet.

Through the process developed by Standard Gas, waste is transformed into gas and biochar, which captures and removes carbon. And because it does not burn waste, the process has no problematic emissions.

“Having developed, proved and significantly upgraded our SG100 technology over several years, we’re now in the process of commercial scale plant manufacture. So, as our focus shifts from technology development to implementation, it’s the right time for us to join NEP,” Mr. Reynolds concluded.
