Pledge’s objective is to provide transparency and actionable insights to make businesses more climate-aware and help accelerate their transition to net zero.

Pledge calculates emissions in compliance with the strictest standards and globally recognised methodologies and frameworks. Through its carbon offsetting marketplace, businesses have access to verified carbon projects and removal technologies all on one platform, allowing them to offset their unavoidable and historical emissions.

Its partner selection is based on market best practices informed by the Oxford Principles for Net Zero Aligned Carbon Offsetting, the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative, and the Science Based Targets Initiative. Projects are vetted by independent experts and registries and are reviewed in-house.

"The science is clear: we need to drastically reduce emissions and remove gigatons of carbon from the atmosphere every year to reverse climate change. By joining the Negative Emissions Platform, we want to further demonstrate our support to the development of carbon removals with policy makers, and continue our mission to democratise access to high-quality carbon sequestration for businesses of every size " said CEO and Co-Founder, David de Picciotto.
