The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has unequivocally declared that global net-zero necessitates the removal of up to 10 billion tonnes of CO2 per year by 2050. However, we are currently removing 2 billion tonnes per year of which the minority (0.1%) comes from highly-durable and permanent carbon removals.
Hosted by the Negative Emissions Platform (NEP), the Negative Emissions Summit aims to educate policymakers, investors, media, and civil society on the critical importance of highly durable and permanent carbon removals.
Our focus extends beyond industry issues to legislative, scientific, and market advancements, emphasizing the urgency of the present moment.
