Mobilising capital for the next era of climate solutions

During London Climate Action Week, ClimateImpact and the Negative Emissions Platform convened an exclusive investor event spotlighting the trillion-pound opportunity in carbon dioxide removal (CDR). Held at Soho House in Central London, the session brought together climate innovators, venture leaders, and institutional investors to explore how strategic finance can accelerate high-quality carbon removals and shape the future of the low-carbon economy.

Panel: Making Carbon Removals Investable

A focused panel discussion brought together expert perspectives from across the CDR investment landscape, including:

  • David Frank, Director, Global Energy & Sustainability Policy, Microsoft

  • Siddharth Kaul, Director, Alcom

  • Nicholas Chadwick, CEO, Mission Zero

  • Moderated by Chris Sherwood, Executive Director, Negative Emissions Platform

The conversation explored practical steps to increase the bankability of CDR, from de-risking strategies to policy support and blended finance mechanisms.

“A space for new connections”

The event created space for open dialogue, peer exchange, and new partnerships—combining structured discussion with informal networking in a relaxed setting. Attendees included fund managers, corporate climate leads, early-stage investors, and CDR entrepreneurs.

The Invest in Carbon Removals initiative continues to build momentum across Europe. By convening targeted investor conversations and showcasing scalable CDR solutions, the series aims to connect capital with climate impact.
